  • The Windows users should have an ISO file and Rufus tool downloaded to carry out the process. Open Rufus Tool on the second Windows PC. A drop-down menu will appear, select “USB Flash Drive” from the menu and click the ‘Start Button’ to select the ISO file.
  • Now, select the Windows 10 installation ISO file and click ‘Open’.

Also, you’ll have to select the time, currency locale, and keyboard locale to use. After finishing, press the ‘Next’ button.
  • To start the installation process, press the ‘Install Now’ button.
  • At this point, Windows Installation files will load. Keep your Windows Product Key ready at this point to activate the installation. Type the key when required.
  • Select the version of Windows that you want to install (if the option is available in the drop-down menu), and click the ‘Next’ button.
  • Now, you’ll have to accept the Windows 10 license agreement. Tick the checkbox and then proceed by clicking the ‘Next’ button.
  • The Windows installer will automatically detect an existing Windows Installation. Now, it’s time to bypass the admin password, select the ‘Custom(Install Windows Only)’ option.
  • To install Windows, select the drive. If you already have multiple partitions, then it is better to recreate them. Click on ‘Next’ to continue.
  • At this stage, your drive will be wiped and Windows will begin copying files for a new installation. After that, Windows will then reboot to begin the next stage of the installation process. Once the process will be finished, you’ll be able to use the PC again by creating a new user account.

As the PCs are now equipped with multiple features, and one of such features is recovery management software. Some laptops now contain a recovery partition drive that allows restoring Windows Installation back to default factory settings.
